On behalf of the "Tenacious" Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated I want to graciously welcome you to our site.

Since 1974, Theta Nu has played a vital role in the University of Maryland's college life. Our commitment to sustainable service, student activism, awards, and academic excellence showcases the dedication of the women of Theta Nu to excellence in all facets of life, staying true to the values of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

We are thrilled to be entering our Golden Year! As we commemorate 50 years of service we are most excited to continue the work, expand our outreach and strengthen the foundation laid by our charter members.

​

Guided by the vision set by our International President, Danette Anthony Reed, under her 2022-2026 Administration "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood," we continue to grow together as women and young professionals. Throughout this year, our focus remains on uplifting girls and women of all backgrounds, hosting engaging discussions on issues impacting our communities, showcasing our high ethical, moral, and scholastic standards, and embodying the principle of "Service to All Mankind."

It is both an honor and a pleasure for me to serve as the President of the Tenacious Theta Nu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, during this celebratory year. I look forward to all of the great work we will put forth this year and beyond!
